In the icy years of the Cold War, a spy with a piercing gaze and a heart of ice. Her name was Ekaterina, but in the shadows of black ops she was known by the code name "Black Lily". She had been recruited by the Soviet intelligence services for a mission as daring as it was mysterious.

Lys Noir's mission was to penetrate the best-kept secrets of NASA, the American space agency. The Soviets had a crazy idea in mind, inspired by the space race that was raging at the time: send a pet into space to demonstrate the technological superiority of the Soviet Union. But there was a crucial dilemma: which animal to choose, a cat or a dog?

Ekaterina, an expert in manipulation and infiltration, had introduced herself into the most closed circles of NASA, blending in among the scientists and engineers without arousing the slightest suspicion. She spent hours digging through top-secret documents, eavesdropping and establishing contact with informants inside the U.S. space agency.

As tension rose between the two superpowers, Black Lys had to make a crucial decision. The fate of the operation rested on the choice between a cat and a dog. The Soviets believed the dog's loyalty could be an asset, but the cat's stealth and agility seemed more suited to the secret nature of the mission.

In the shadows of the space laboratories, Ekaterina made her decision. She opted for a cat, a cunning feline named Sputnik, named after the famous Soviet satellite. Sputnik had pitch-black fur and piercing eyes that seemed to hold a strange intelligence.

When launch day arrived, Ekaterina had snuck into the secret base where Sputnik was being prepared for its space mission. She had succeeded in integrating the American space program and ensuring that the cat would be the first living being to be sent into space. All this, of course, without the Americans suspecting the manipulation at work.

The countdown began, the world holding its breath. The small spaceship took off, carrying Sputnik into the unknown. The Soviets watched with feverish anticipation from their side of the Iron Curtain.
